Overview

I offer private lessons in two locations: the Dordogne, France and in the Nice area, Côte d’Azur.
Current availability

Currently lessons are not available in the Dordogne. Please contact me below if you are interested in what I offer in the Nice area.
Lesson format

Lessons are personalized according to your needs and wishes or I can suggest a menu for you. Groups of 1 to 6 can be accommodated and classes can be one, two or three days in length. Classes vary from daily classes which last about 4 hours to all day classes that include lunch and dinner. Everything is included in the price, all classes and demonstrations, meals and all drinks, wine, champagne and water.
Location

Set on a hill in the beautiful Dordogne countryside surrounded by 15 hectares (35 acres) of grounds. We are equidistant to Bergerac, Périgueux and Sarlat. We are close to the market town of Le Bugue that has two street markets a week. There is a large market on Tuesdays and a smaller market on Saturdays.

I will gladly recommended places for you to stay nearby or you can stay in our guest house “gite” (see below).

Prices and availability of the guest house are shown through this link: Our Guest House

Classes

I can offer you a custom class schedule based upon the class types mentioned below. We can do various lengths up to a week.
One day short class (roughly 4 hours)

A one day short class starts at 10:00 at the house. We will make a delicious brasserie style 3 course lunch together before all sitting down to enjoy our efforts around the oak kitchen table from an old monastery or on the patio surrounded by acres of garden, trees and flowers, if the weather permits.

Cost is 100 Euros per person

One day short class with market visit (roughly 5 1/2 hours)

A one day short class starts at 9:00 with a coffee and buttery croissant or pain au raisin before heading to the local outdoor market to shop for our ingredients for lunch. Once back at the house, we will make a delicious brasserie style 3 course late lunch together before all sitting down to enjoy our efforts around the oak kitchen table from an old monastery or on the patio surrounded by acres of garden, trees and flowers, if the weather permits.

Cost is 150 Euros per person

One day long class (can include market visit)

The one day long course begins as above but we make a lighter lunch or sumptuous picnic before breaking for a fun afternoon activity such as wine tasting, a visit to a snail farm, a game of boules, a gentle hike, and then getting started on our evening meal. This will include a typical French aperitif followed by a delicious 3 or 4 course meal, including all wine and champagne and all made by you and me together.

Cost is 250 Euros per person

  2. What an innovative business venture !!!
I can see this “hands on” course being the perfect way to teach and the lessons stay learned.. It would be a fun and friendly adventure..
I hope you have your schedule always booked.. except if I ever get the chance to venture over the sea, this is definitely going on my itinerary well in advance, just in case you do always stay booked..
